“In November 2015 I joined the day programme and immediately felt safe and felt that I would fit in.
Everyday there is a new skill to be learnt or revised, including; stress management, positive thinking, mindfulness, relapse prevention, equality and diversity and boundaries…to name but a few. Each one of these topics is relevant to engaging in our world today. I particularly enjoy the activities on a Friday. One thing that has helped me most is that I have been able to be honest about my limitations. For example, I needed to go back to basics with learning computer skills, but now I feel that I am understanding more and it is all starting to make sense!
Attending TAPE on a Wednesday has been valuable – learning to express myself creatively has helped improve my confidence in all aspects of my life.”
