Releasing Potential is a film which tells the story of a number of service users from the Jigsaw group in North Wales, they themselves or members of their families have been affected by alcohol and substance misuse or may have a history of crime.
Brian, Jigsaw Project Manager explained “The Jigsaw mantra is about creating a better future for service users, and not dwelling on their past history. Recognising that boredom plays a huge part in creating problems for service user and can easily lead to reoffending, the group offers members a comprehensive programme of activities which also enables members the opportunity to share experiences and build self-esteem and confidence. This partnership between Jigsaw and Twin Vision has been a great success, the movie demonstrates what can be achieved when the right opportunities are made available. The Jigsaw members thoroughly enjoyed working with Twin Vision and are keen to develop their new skills and undertake further media work.
The Jigsaw members had no previous experience of film making and were trained in all aspects of film production by the Twin Vision team. The project was funded by Awards For All. For more information about Jigsaw please call Brian on 01492 523 042.
