Our volunteers are crucial to the delivery and success of our services. We currently have a network of volunteers supporting our frontline staff and service users, and assisting with the administration and paperwork behind the scenes which make everything possible.
Benefits of Volunteering:
Being a volunteer can offer a chance to learn new skills and develop confidence by working alongside other volunteers, paid staff and service users.
Many of our volunteers get a great deal of satisfaction from using their skills and time to help others. Volunteering can offer routine and structure in a friendly environment to those wanting to give something back or to fill their time productively.
Volunteering can be a real asset to a CV. It can enhance your personal profile by evidencing a commitment and desire to work. It can be used as current work experience and training can be recorded.
CAIS supports young volunteers (18-25) to access the Gwirfol Award to work towards achieving a nationally recognised certificate signed by the First Minister for Wales.
Volunteering opportunities include:
“Since I started volunteering for CAIS, I have met many amazing people... Volunteering makes me feel helpful and useful and it helps with my anxiety and depression. I would be lost without volunteering and I am learning new skills each and every day I am here. Volunteering gives me a sense of joy, knowing that I am making a slight difference to people's lives and my own.” Volunteer, Wrexham
